The medical profession looks at vegetarianism

While I was in the hospital:

1. One doctor in the ER suggested to my wife that I was sick because I was a vegan;

2. My infectious diseases dr referred to my "crazy" diet and told me I could get salmonella from organic vegetables;

3. The dietician told me I needed to make sure I got enough protein; and

4. hospital kitchens should be forbidden to cook vegetables.

Umm, suggesting that a vegetarian diet carries undue risk, in the face of a 19-million pound beef recall for E. Coli contamination? Doesn't sound that logical.

Anyway, I'm really glad you're home and recovering.

And I thought only ducks could "quack".

(Hmm. I clearly flunked "Puns 101," wot?)

Unfortunately, a lot of traditional doctors simply aren't well-versed in nutrition.

"Unfortunately, a lot of traditional doctors simply aren't well-versed in nutrition." And I add "AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION".

Mmmm....didn't realize you were entirely vegan. Tempting to tempt you.

I had a vegan girlfriend who was constantly fainting, most probably from anaemia. Has any of you fuckwits ever studied medicine? I somehow doubt it, so don't go slagging off the medical profession. I'm sure you'll be needing them some time soon.
